Place an Order in 3 Easy Steps.
STEP 1: Email Me an Art Request
Whether it be an illustration job, a portrait request, or a computer graphic art project, simply email me at Guyus@GuyusArt.com to describe your idea or ask questions and I will get back to you as soon as possible with a free price quote and when I might can start and finish. At this point, there is no payment necessary and no obligations. Please try to give me as much information as possible about the art you would like for me to create for you, such as size, design, and number of figures, especially if it’s a Portrait Request.
Please visit my PRICES page to review all the Prices, Sizes, Mediums, and Portrait Designs I normally offer before making your Portrait Request. Also, please be sure to read the section I provided on Photo Tips before uploading or emailing me your photo(s). These tips include how to choose good photos and how to protect and package your photos for safe delivery if you send them by regular mail.
Your Art Request gives me the opportunity to email you an exact price quote, and to make sure there are no misunderstandings before you go through the trouble of finalizing your order.
When you make your Art Request, I may be currently working on an art project for a client and may have other orders lined up. If this is the case, I will let you know and will tell you when I can begin your art project before you finalize your order. When I have multiple orders, I always work in the order of the Art Requests that have been finalized, not in the order initial Art Requests were made.
STEP 2: Finalize Your Order
After I have reviewed your Art Request and after I have received any necessary photo(s) or source material, I will send you an email with an exact price quote. If you agree with the quoted price and wish to continue, you may then finalize your Art Request in an email reply. As soon as you do, I will add your name to my project list. Again, no payment is necessary at this point. You will be happy to know I do not ask for a single penny up front. You will be asked to make payment only after you have evaluated and have approved a digital proof of your portrait.
Starting Your Artwork!
Once I receive everything I need from you, I will then begin to execute your very own one-of-a-kind art piece, which you have specified to me. If I have any additional questions, I will email them to you or call if necessary. Upon completing your art request, I will email you a digital proof to get your approval. If changes or alterations are needed I will continue working on it to make those adjustments. I do not charge extra for the first two adjustment sessions. However, if I’m asked to make adjustments a third time, I may charge anywhere between $25.00 to $50.00, depending on the complexity and degree of alterations. If the adjustments are extremely minor, I may make the adjustments for a third time free of charge. If you are still not satisfied, you will not have to make any payment!
Time Required to Complete Your Art Request
Penciled Renderings usually take me about 5 days, perhaps sooner if there is no background. Colored Pencil Renderings usually take me about 2 weeks and Oil Paintings usually take me 2-3 weeks to complete, depending on the level of complexity. Computer Art can be hard to estimate, it just depends on the project. When it comes to art, one can never know for sure, so I can’t guarantee any time frames or make any promises. Also, a few extra days may be needed to allow oil paintings to dry well enough for safe shipping.
STEP 3: Make Your Payment
Once you have finalized your order, I will email you a payment link. It will direct you to my PayPal page, where you can fill out your shipping address and credit card information. If you have any trouble filling out the PayPal order form, let me know and I will try to help.
I accept Credit Card payments through PayPal (No account necessary to use,) and I will accept Personal Checks and Money Orders.
I ship using USPS Priority, which requires 2-3 days to arrive. Your portrait will be fully insured in case it becomes lost or damaged during transit. Fortunately, this has never happened, so far. If by chance your portrait appears damaged, upon opening it from its box, please notify me as soon as possible and I will try to address the problem.
